End of Season

By November 20, 2010September 19th, 2012Sports

You’ll be happy to know that the season is over.  We won our last game, season ending Bowl game:  40+ to 13.  Highlights:

1st half:

Max lead us off with his usual scamper up the right sideline for a TD…Saints players were extremely gracious in their pursuit!  Even after the Saints scored first, the defense denied them the extra 2 point conversion.  We were then able to press down the field highlighted by Billy and Trevor’s great running, capped off by a great TD catch by Noah.   Chris made another super catch for the extra point.  Kyle did a superb job running the Offense.  After another great TD run by Trevor, the defense was able to hold the Saints allowing us 20 sec (I called a timeout).  On a quick throw to Trevor, he made a GREAT move and put the afterburners in for another QUICK score running the length of the field to put us ahead by 2 TDs going in to half time.  Chris again, was able to make a great catch for the extra point.
2nd Half:

Again, Max went the opposite way, on the right sideline, with a nice run and even going through the endzone to the chain link fence with his perfect theatrics and BIG smile!  Offense started off on a GREAT run by Tyler the length of the field to seal the game by 3 TDs.  From then on it was a dominate show of defense as Trevor made 2 interceptions and Noah another for ALL TD’s!  Peter and Tanner made AMAZING catches in the endzone for the extra points while we unfortunately missed the last conversion.  Max was able to get in for a nice short throw to Tyler for 5 yds.  He’s really developed and is catching and throwing the ball well!  It’s so fun to watch him enjoy the game!

Party

End of season party was at the Dillion’s Restaurant banquet room (decorated in many military pictures, banners, and jets…namely F-16s!).  Could have not been a better setting for our celebration.  After everyone ordered up drinks and food we had the presentations:  medals for all the boys including special awards:

– Most Improved:  Jonathon and Peter Lam

–  MVP:  Trevor Turkovich

–  Most Spirit:  Max Marangella
